Blog Commenting Cyber Smarts - Mahara

This morning we had to finish up on our Blog commenting. What my highlight about this activity was being able comment on other people post. 

What my Goal for next time I comment on someone's blog is to add feedback that can help them with their post.What I might do next time is try to add a positive comment so they feel good about what they have posted.

Maths - Mahara

This afternoon we have played some math games but or focus was on time tables and what we have got from the maths cupboard was some playing cards, And we had to make up a game that ovule the playing card but it also had to include multiplication.

We made up a game that we played and what we did with it was we got rid of all the cards that we do not need and then we played what we had to do was we put down a card, Then we had to times the number that was on the card but we were not allowed to look at the cards. Have you ever played snap it is a bit like that. 

What my highlight about this afternoon was being able to practice my time tables in a fun way. What my goal is for next time is to be faster when answering.

What Is A Natural Disaster - Mahara

Have you ever wonder why natural disaster happen well today i am going to tell you why. This type of stuff happen all around the world some places in the world they have a lot of earth quakes some other places have a lot of tornados, but it is all based on where you live in the would. These natural disaster happen with very little warning. When does natural disasters happen well the is no exact time or place that we are going to have a natural disaster.

What is natural disaster? a natural disaster is when the earth has made a disaster but not made by Man (Human) but by the earth, Due to something happening with the earth like an earth quake this is caused by where you live in the world because some people experience more earth quakes than others. 

How does Tornadoes (Twister) most Tornadoes form when when there is warm moist air and cool dry air when they form they form a Tornado. 

Second Day Of Term 3 - Mahara

Today for the second day of term 3 we have started off with a test on our maths. What I enjoyed about the math test is that it challenged me to figure the answer in a effectiant amount of time, Because we only had 45 minutes for the test. 

Something that I have learnt today was to figure out more ways to solve a problem or figure a question. another thing that I Have learnt  about myself is that I need to think fast when it comes to basic facts. 

One think that I can think about working on next time is to find more  way to solve a problem. And also to practice my basic facts so I can solve equation faster. 

School Holiday Reflection - Mahara

School Holiday Reflection 

Hi my name is Mahara and today is a start of term 3 and we have lots of activities happening. Such as going to the Museum. In the school holidays I have went down the line into Glen Afton where my Nan lives and all my cousins live. this time was  favorite. time in the school holidays because I just got time to spend time with my cousin that I don't usually see often. And we also have had KFC when we came back up to auckland and hangi last night.

Today in term 3 I have been interested in setting new goals for the term and trying new things for this term what we did today was we had to reflect on what we did in the holidays and it was fun. then what we did was we had to get in a line from shortest to tallest and we have to try get with an quicker each time that we do it. 

One thing that I and excited for this term is to be able to got to the museum which is my height so far but there is more to come. What I am trying to improve on this term is my math, And also getting to try new sports for the term. another thing thing that i am excited for is term is our kiwi sport becuase it is boxing.

Visual art - Mahara

For the last weeks we have been working on our visual art for our visual art we had to draw something that we have been working on for our inquiry and something that represents us. What I did was the sun and the moon becuase our topic for inquiry was earth and beyond. Then I had to draw something that represent me and then I drawed maori pattern becuase that Is my culture. Then I drawed some basketballs becuase I like to play basketball
